Please ... a drumroll for Mooka Pod!
I have been very inspired by Rick & Maria's Mooka pattern and have come up with this variation I call Mooka Pod. There is no shading on this yet, but it is only a little piece of art - not even as long as a Micron pen.
It started out like this ... playing around with Mooka ... I really really like this - did I say that already - lol!
Last week was AGFEST here in Tasmania ... a very very large (by Australian standards) Agricultural show. I couldn't resist snapping a shot of these ferns ... do they look a bit Mookerish to you?
And for my inspiration ... this is my weekend view sometimes ...heaven!
The kitties like it too.
They always want to go outside ... and spend quite a bit of time out on their harness and leads.
And yesterday it snowed - on Mother's Day no less! What a perfect ending to a lovely day.
Happy Tangling for now everyone ... Jane x

The Last of May's Tangles
I love getting up early in the morning ... My DH goes to work fairly early so I get up with him and I get a few hours to draw or stitch or do something quiet before the sun comes up.
Yesterday I drew these tangles "falling falling" I like that they look like they are falling off the page. They are simple tangles done on a 210 x 297mm sheet of 100% Smooth Cotton by Arches (nice paper) and I have used theisocohederon icosahedron- how many of you use that tool?
This one I have titled "Universal Time" ... I had fun drawing this one. Sorry about the quality of my photos - the flash was in action because of the time of day I took the photos. I have yet to master my scanner.
And it has been nice to see all the lovely tangles on Flickr group.
Oh and in answer to a comment from Mimi that I must use a lot of ink ... I have about five 01 pigma pens ... none have run out yet and one is still fairly new ... so I think the pens go a long long way. I also have one 08 Pigma pen which I use to "colour" some of the bigger black areas.
Happy Tangling for now and thanks to those who have left comments - it is lovely to see who visits and I can then visit them in return .... Jane x

New Pattern - Scrumble
I call this pattern "scrumble" because I got the idea from wool when doing some crochet scrumbling. You can play with the shading to make individual bobbles pop out or make it look like you have a cable by just shading one line.
You can see this pattern in my last post.
I quickly drew this together today when I remembered that I said I would post it.
I have also been playing some more with Zendalas ... I do really like them a lot.
You can incorporate anything into them.
I also did a one-on-one tutorial last week - this was very successful and is a good lead up to my Adult education class called "Mini Ink Art" in Launceston on Sunday 1 August 2010 - the first class is nearly full - so if you want to join in you had better book soon.

Tangles and Zendalas
Okay I have been busy ... but I have been Tangling - so here are some of my tangles for you to see ...
This is my first Zendala and I am quite happy with it - the pic doesn't really show the shading very well but still nice I think.
This is a shot of the Tangles I have done in the past few weeks.
I have gone small ... I really enjoy doing these really small tangles - I can do one before I put my head on my pillow to go to sleep at night ... dreaming of tangles and such like.
This simple one is one of my favourites.
In this one I have drawn a new pattern based on a close up of woolen fibres - it is on the left hand side - I'm not sure what to call it ... but I'll draw out the steps and post them here this week.
I do like geometric and can't help going back to it time after time - must be the left brain working!
And last pic for today ... a mixture.
I'll be off now ... got to get some quilting work done this week and then we have the Biggest Morning Tea on Thursday ... what a great day - hope we raise some serious money for that.
