I read this ... and then thought about it.

There's always a little truth behind every 'just kidding.'
A little knowledge behind every 'I don't know.'
A little emotion behind every 'I don't care.'
A little love behind every 'I hate you!'
A little uneasiness behind every 'I'm okay.'
A little pain behind every 'forget it.'
A little fear behind every 'leave me alone.'
A little hope behind every 'goodbye.'
And a little 'something' behind every 'nothing.'

And it gave me food for thought ... I wanted to share it with you all.

Look at these words from your own personal point of view.  We all know the world can be overwhelming to us at times, especially the smallness whilst being vast that the internet has created and we have probably all, at some time, said some of these things.   From my perspective, I have been trying to work out what is important to me.  One of the things that keep recurring is "simplicity of life". I want little and need less but still have this burning desire to create.  Truth be known, I probably have enough supplies to keep me in creativity mode for a few years to come.   So I am going to work with what I have for the rest of the year.

My first step is to finish my Zentangle alphabet book ... I am thinking of self publishing an e-book from my web site, that you can download and read. The Letter "Z" is below - Would you want that?   I'll let you know how I go with that.
I will also be quilting and continuing to draw in my journals!

So I can now see the beginnings of where I would like to be and some of that light at the end of that long dark tunnel.  Progress takes but one step at a time, creativity is no different.
Cheers for now ... Jane

  1. Hi Friend - glad to see you pop up in post again. Thanks for the food for thought - a good reminder that things aren't always what they seem. Keep on creating . . . step by step take care.

  2. Man, that's I know where you're coming from, because I go through the same ponderings most days...
I am extremely pleased you are going to finish that alphabet book...I want the first signed copy...even tho it will be an e-book...I'm sure you'll be able to figure how to do Such talent would be sacrilege to let fall thru the cracks where no one will get to enjoy it...I LOVE the red "Z"...beautiful...xx

  3. Your not alone. Perfectly, said.

  4. I would love to have an ebook of your alphabet tangled, Jane. I think you do beautiful work, and I agree -- such talent is meant to be shared :D And I, for one, love to see all the items you create!

I'll be in line for your e-book -- when? :-)

Jane everything happens for a reason, often we don't see it at the time, but when we look back after a couple of months everything is crystal clear :-) And when you are quiet, it all comes together.

  6. Oh, I would love one of your creations. You have such talent and your work is meticulous and bold. I love it!!!! Get busy and get it finished. Easier said than done, but lots of joy will come from the end result.
